My Scrapspace

This is the view of my room when you enter, the table is an old banquet table that was my grandfathers, we spray painted the top and I made the skirt to hide the storage underneath. The three fabric panels shown were a last minute decision and I love how they turned out. What is really great is I can change the fabric out whenever I want a new look. The pieces of fabric are just fabric stapled to foam core board. Over each of the panels is a new under-cabinet light fixture that adds a lot of needed lighting. I paid more than I planned for the lighting but I really wanted the slimmest lights I could find.

these are the bookcases directly to my left if I am sitting at my table. All of the albums on the bottom shelves are traditional photo albums and the top shelf are my scrapbooks. The baskets on the other bookcase are for embellishment storage. We got all the bookcases from Big Lots. We drilled additional holes and bought additional laminate shelves from home depot so we could fit as much as possible on each bookcase.

These are the shelves we just installed to the right of my scrap table...they run under my table and into the corner so there is no wasted space. I use the space in the corner to store things I wanted to keep but don't use often. The baskets hold all my punches. The pretty black caddy that my scissors are in is a silverware basket that I got from the Xmas Tree Shops for $3.00. The two sterlite containers on the floor aren't staying, I still need to figure out where to put the stuff that is in them.

This is the storage I have under my table. I got everything from Big Lots. The 2 carts are utility carts and were $20 each. The fabric baskets were only $5 for a pack of 2, I have all my rubons and alphabets stored in these. The big wicker basket on top of the cart is also from Big Lots and it is where i toss my scraps as I am working.

these are some of my wire baskets i use for storing things i use all the time like my adhesive. Each of these baskets was only $1 at the Dollar Tree and they hang from clips we bought at the hardware store. What makes this system perfect is I can take the baskets down and put them on my work table as needed.

This is the view from the opposite corner of my room. I got the spinning tool caddy on my desk at a tag sale for a quarter. Think it might also get a coat of black spray paint.

Another view of my bookcases. The plastic folders on top of the 1st bookcase are from cropper hopper and I use them to sort all my scraps by color. The white boxes underneath are all my themed embellishments and stickers like Christmas. I want to decorate the box edges and label them but haven't decided what to do with them yet.

This is my computer area...it is in front of my scrapdesk. The cabinets up above my hubby and I built a while ago when this room was still the kids playroom. I just made the curtains to hide the office type stuff that we have stored on the shelves. We're planning to eventually replace the whole thing with some white cabinets. The cork board above the desk was something else I made. When I worked at AC moore they had thrown this frame out because the glass was broken so I claimed it and it's been sitting in my cellar for 3 years! The frame was already black but I used my trusty spray paint to touch up some dinged up spots. I bought some cork squares and mounted them to a backer board my husband cut to fit the frame. The whole thing cost me about $5 and only took about 20 minutes to do.

This is my embellishment storage cart...have all my chipboard, felt shapes, flowers and ghost shapes on here. I got the storage cart at a tag sale for $1 and i bought the VHS cases online

Most of the stuff I decorated my room with like the bird plaque, mirror and tulip picture is stuff I've had in my cellar for ages and just needed a home for. I did however splurge and buy the gorgeous wire scroll frame at michaels (with a coupon of course) ...the pic is one my hubby took of the coast of maine...my absolute favorite place on the planet. I also splurged on the wire dress form...$14.99 at the Xmas Tree Shops. Took 2 weeks to decide before I bought it.

I've had this pen rack for ages, another thing I picked out of the trash at ACMoore along with the rack to the right of it. I love these pieces but there were just clear plastic and all scratched up so i painted them with black spray paint.

This is my ribbon on one of my bookcases...love that i can see it all.

These cases hold all my wood mounted stamps. Again the VHS cases were bought online.

My paper storage, 1 got these 3 bookcases at BigLots a while back, a real bargain at $20.00 each
